We are the Mothers (and fathers) Of Cosplay Kids. During winter break from school, we got together for a MoCK support group in one house, while our kids were cosplaying in the next house over. We started the “MoCK support group” for two reasons. 1. We didn’t know all the other mothers of our kids’ friends, and 2. we wanted to discuss upcoming events and carpool arrangements. This lead us to further conversations about issues: safety, cost, costumes, appropriate age group play, locations, logistics, chores, parenting, photos, Facebook, and so much more. We realized how much some of us have learned over the last few years and how much others had no clue what their kids were doing.
We started discussing how much easier things would be if there were a handbook or something for parents. So this is what we have decided to do. We are the Mothers of Cosplay Kids. We are here to help answer your questions and be a support for anyone who doesn’t understand. This site can be for carpools, events, safety information and anything else we create it to be. We will attend local conferences with our kids to get more information on local costume options. We hope to one day have our favorite vendors advertise with us, so you will know where to go.

Great site! My own cosplay kids told me about it. I’m an online text-based role player myself (science fiction/fantasy themes) looking forward to publishing again. My kids work on webcomics and design games, as well as cosplay Cheshire Cat, Pinkie Pie (MLP), Riku (Kingdom Hearts) and Problem Sleuth ( from Andrew Hussie, creator of Homestuck).
Thank you so much for your comment and welcome to the site. We are currently working on our theme’s and message boards. There is a Homestuck gathering on February 9th as well. Looking forward to more discussions soon.
